Red sunset lights, light the sky
Six days have passed
Shabat the queen
Comes down from the mountains

Come down, Shabat the queen
It is Shabat, rest day, stop all work
Come, bride, come ,bride
We will bless you, like the jewel in the crown

Israel received the Shabat
As a present from God
A sign between him and his people
This is why we observe it  

Come down............

Shabat is here, a day of rest
We chant Shabat songs, and find pleasure
We honour Shabat
Wine, chala and fish we eat
