NEFELI'S TANGO - TANGO FOR EVORA
Nefeli's Tango
The golden rag That Nefeli wore in her hair To stand out from all the girls in the vineyard Two little tiny angels came And stole it from her.
Two little angels Who wanted Nefeli in their dreams To feed her pomegranates and honey So she wouldn't remember, so she'd forget what she wants Seduced her.
Hyacinths and lilies Stole her scent and wear it And cherubs shooting arrows mock her.
But good Zeus takes the water of her youth away makes her a cloud and disperses her so they will not find her.

Synopsis:
It’s very poetic/idiomatic. The pomegranates are probably a reference to Persephone (Nefeli). For every pomegranate seed she ate when taken captive by the Lord of the Underworld, she (unbeknownst to her) would be doomed to spend one month per year there. She ate 6. So we have winter for 6 months, and then each year when she is freed, the Earth blossoms into Spring.
Enquanto Demeter procurava a filha, a Terra secou.
